Dukkhhan marya banda vekho kooke te faryad kare; Yaad na karda malak di jo pal pal te imdad kare. Nal fanah de preetan layiyan baaki di pehchan nahin; Madmasti vich mast fire per maut da ehnun dhyaan nahin. Edan banda jamda marda bhog riha ey kai janam; Kahe avtar jagat noon rakh lai kar ke apni mehar karam. |

Look at man, afflicted with sufferings he bewails and cries for help; He does not remember God who is there to help him every moment. He is deeply in love with the perishable and does not recognize the Eternal one; Intoxicated by the lust of materialism, he remains oblivious to death. In this way he is subjected to births and deaths and suffers in countless lives; Avtar says, O’ God, be kind and merciful and save this world. |
Meaning
Man cries for help as he bears the sufferings. But man does not remember that the Formless One is there to help him every moment. He is in love with things that are perishable, and not recognize the ever existent, One God. Submerged in the lust of materialism, he is forgetful about death. Because of this, man is expected to be born and die countless times. Avtar says, Oh Formless One, be merciful and generous and save the world.
